Studying Abroad Essay Sample - What to Consider
Studying Abroad Essay Sample - What to ConsiderAfter you have gone through your college's application procedure and chosen the program you wish to attend, your next decision will be whether to take a study abroad essay sample from the study abroad program that you have been accepted into or write your own. If you are unsure of which option is best for you, keep reading and find out some of the pros and cons of each.First, you should consider what you think is the most important factor in selecting a study abroad essay sample from the online colleges. For instance, if you are considering an English Language Arts requirement, then perhaps a German essay sample would be more appropriate. Perhaps a Psychology and Philosophy course would work well for you, but how about an economics essay? In fact, the faculty of most online universities will include sections on subjects such as these in their course syllabi, and it is highly recommended that you take this information into consideration be fore deciding on which course to select. This is because the different departments within the university may require varying amounts of credit to graduate and taking a semester abroad may enable you to earn more credits than you could with an English course.Second, you need to consider the time frame in which you will need to take the essay sample, usually between two and four months. Some online colleges will provide it immediately, but this is not always the case. Some online programs will want to send out the essay sample after you have received your acceptance letter.Third, and just as important, the Internet is now an extremely popular method of obtaining information for both online education courses and for academic publications. So, what you need to consider is whether you have access to the Internet at home, whether you have taken a class online in the past, and whether the professor's website is related to the online college's website.Fourth, ask yourself if your student's computer activity will allow you to record the essays at home or if it must be submitted via a university-provided or company-provided web service. Once again, this is up to the university; some institutions will send you your essay samples automatically, but others will have to provide them individually.Lastly, be sure to keep all the relevant documents. After all, you don't want to forget to bring copies of your original essay and the foreign language assignments, since these two documents will be required for your transcripts. Don't hesitate to make copies of any written assignments that may be hard to access, and be sure to keep your old dissertation materials, transcripts, papers, essays, etc.
